      Reporting to the Head of Market Analytics and RnD and working frequently with the Deputy CEO. I work with a team of four actuarial analysts who combine data science, extensive market knowledge and technical expertise to provide in-depth knowledge into the sales performance of the Discovery Life products and develop innovative benefits and products. I work closely with the pricing team in terms of research and development of products and taking those products to market. The team is responsible for regular reports to EXCO including: product performance; distribution channel performance; actuarial insights; market insights and opportunity sizing. My responsibilities include: - Working within R&D to strategies what products should be developed - Oversee the full R&D cycle from research, development, implementation, launch and rollout to the market - In-depth market analysis and bringing feedback to Steercom and EXCO - Optimizing business strategy – working with various teams such as: actuarial, distribution, and systems - Supervising and signing-off various actuarial reports for EXCO in terms of sales performance and market analytics - Creating data-driven sales and distribution strategies - Providing actuarial support to other teams within the Discovery Group - High level understanding of life insurance pricing and how various risk factors and assumptions effect Present Value of Premiums, Value of New Business, Value of New Business Margin, Return on Capital and Discounted Payback Period. - Forming and managing relationships by providing actuarial support to Discovery Life’s distribution force (over 4,000 financial advisers) to grow the business - Building various actuarial tools to support advisers sell the Discovery Life product - Compiling high quality technical presentations to present to EXCO, intermediaries, clients and investors - Supervising and signing off on various product content and client messaging across the business
