I am a graduate with a BA Honours 2:1 degree in Media Studies and Advertising with experience in marketing, PR, social media & sales, gained from various roles and internships both in the UK and China, including over a year's experience working in the artists relations, central and international marketing departments of EMI and Sony Music. Passionate about the music industry, my ambition is to progress my career in the music arena, helping to break artists worldwide. I am a highly dedicated and reliable professional who is not afraid of hard work to get the job done, on time and to high standards.
Updating the weekly marketing report for all Sony artists(Beyonce, Olly Murs, Alexandra Burke etc.) Including social media/sales statistics. Retrieving sales information from the OCC (Official Charts Company) for the marketing team. Raising purchase orders using the Sprinter system. Creating artist release schedules highlighting release, service and delivery dates to ensure deadlines are met.
Assisting with the overall day to day running of the Artist Relations team: Sourcing gifts for EMI artists Raising / processing purchase orders on SAP Canvassing and distributing event tickets to EMI staff Assisting with the coordination and execution of events such as the Abbey Road New Music Showcase, the premiere of the AIR (EMI band) scored movie ‘Le Voyage Dans la Lune’ and The Chemical Brothers 'Don't Think' DVD premier Attending to the artists’ needs and requests (for Chiddy Bang and Morning Parade) and orchestrating their stage appearances Participating in weekly review and strategy meetings in relation to Parlophone and Virgin artists
Contributing to all organisational aspects of 'The Expat Show' and SIAS (Shanghai International Air Show): Preperation of press materials. Development of a direct mail campaigns leading up to the event, including copy and content, and aiding in the design. Selling booth space to consultes, embassies and corporate businesses on the phone and face to face. Forming media partnerships to improve 'Expat Show' visibility.
