- Work with sales and engineering before project award on shop drawings, documentation and design. - Review sales estimate and design before moving into procurement. - Work with procurement after award to ensure that the proper equipment is ordered in a timely and cost effective manner. - Issue purchase orders to vendors and sub-contractors. - Manage the installation process, develop project plan, assign proper manpower and or sub-contractors. - Ensure that all parties involved understand the scope of work and stakeholders expectations. - Visit work site before project commencement and regularly for project duration attending all site meetings and controlling my team. - Identify opportunities for new work and work with stakeholders on change orders and site directions. - Constantly monitor project costs to help maintain projected margins. - Work with engineering and field technicians to compile documentation for as built package. - Manage field technicians, assign daily duties, projects and service calls. - Conduct yearly performance reviews and help identify areas of future growth. - Help technicians identify new training opportunities and work with them to develop the skills they need to succeed.
- Installation, programming, integration, maintenance, service and repair of physical protection systems consisting of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Intercom, Barriers, and other specialized systems and devices. - Supervise and manage sub contractors on installation projects. Maintain company standards are met. - Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. - Provides accurate as-built and commissioning documentation in order for job close out and customer sign off. - Install magnetic locks and ULC certified systems meeting local electrical and safety codes. - Act as a team lead, provide mentor ship, training and leadership to fellow technicians. - Act as project manager for small and medium sized jobs.
