Oversee Legislative Programs and Advocacy Efforts • Meet with members of the Ohio Legislature in both Education/Lobbyist Capacity • Meet with members of the Ohio Executive in both Education/Lobbyist Capacity • Testify before Legislative Committees and Panels on pending Legislation & Policy Issues • Speak to Interested Party Groups & Partner Organization providing background/updates on pending legislation and policy issues • Drafting Legislation or Amendments to legislation • Preparing Talking Points, Fact Sheets, Executive Summaries and memorandums concerning pending legislation • Oversee organizations overall communications strategy and social media platforms
Oversee Legislative Programs, Grassroots Activity & Policy Development • Meet with members of the Ohio Legislature in both Education/Lobbyist Capacity • Meet with members of the Ohio Executive in both Education/Lobbyist Capacity • Plan and Host Legislative Luncheons, Receptions and Meet & Greets with members of Public • Testify before Legislative Committees and Panels on pending Legislation & Policy Issues • Speak to Interested Party Groups & Partner Organization providing background/updates on pending legislation and policy issues • Drafting Legislation or Amendments to Legislation pertaining to School Choice • Preparing Talking Points, Fact Sheets, Executive Summaries and memorandums concerning pending legislation • Meeting with members of the Media to address legislative questions related to School Choice
-Responsible for Organizing and Maintaining Legislative Office; -Serve as Committee Staff on House Ways & Means Committee (2007 – 2008); -Seve as Committee Staff on House Finance & Appropriations Committee - Transportation Subcommittee (2011) -Draft and Manage Legislation and Amendments to Legislation; -Facilitate Constituent Assistance with State Agencies and Departments; -Prepare and Distribute News Releases, Newsletters and eNewsletters; -Organize and Participate in Meetings with State Policy Leaders, Constituents and Members of the Media; -Manage Communications within the Office to Constituents and Interested Parties regarding Legislative Issues and Policy Matters.
