Diverse experience in chemical plant operation, engineering, maintenance, budget development, and welding. Currently, maintenance reliability engineer over two sulfuric acid plants, a granulation plant, and a rail yard at Simplot Phosphates in Rock Springs, WY. Experience supervising various operations groups and managing supervision. Solid background managing different groups to ensure that customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded. As a young engineer, I am always looking for improved methods at managing complex systems, developing employees, and meeting customer needs. Additionally, I have managed complex projects in excess of $32MM in capital and O&M.
As a process engineer I worked closely with operations to improve plant processes through efficiency improvements, equipment upgrades, safety improvements and operation procedure improvements. Troubleshot various equipment deficiencies and performance issues in order to make recommendations to management for future capital improvement opportunities. Monitored and managed plant performance issues on a day-to-day bases with operations and maintenance. Implemented heat exchanger inspection program. As a project engineer I successfully executed a $1.75 MM capital project to replace a sulfur feed pit and upgraded existing infrastructure to improve plant operations.
Direct supervisor to 24 plant personnel in various processes. Responsible for plant down time and up time. Managed shift by shift needs with other supervisors to ensure needs were met. Responsible for safety training, process troubleshooting and plant efficiency.
