I am meticulous in my work which is completed and delivered in a structured, methodical manor I enjoy working under my own initiative or as part of a team whilst being able to adapt to change. With over 20 years of experience in Credit Management, I have an extensive knowledge of both financial and management accounting whilst gaining a strong understanding of accounting systems, practices, legislation and laws. I have a skill set that includes designing and implementation of order to cash solutions, procedures, controls, governance and policies. In my previous roles I managed of team of circa 50 employees across 2 business functions spanning 4 regions whose focus was service delivery for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Transactional Banking in accordance with agreed SLAs, aligned to Group and Operational Strategy. Working collaboratively with our commercial function we were able to drive early payment initiatives and engagement programs resulting in a reduction of DSO by circa 50 days and equivalent improved cash flow of circa £50m, allowing us to re-invest into Business Development pipeline. Currently working in a fast paced, pressurised, international environment, I am responsible for overseeing the order to cash process for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio with a global customer base in excess of 7,000. I lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, enhance working capital, optimise collections performance, reduce bad debt exposure and embed a culture of continuous improvement. Managing staff in the Europe, India, China & Singapore who are accountable for the delivery of day-to-day operational activities.
