With 15+ years in building automation and controls, I’ve worked across the full spectrum, from field installs and commissioning to backend programming and system design. That range of experience gives me a solid perspective on how technology is reshaping building operations. I’ve supported both new construction and retrofit projects, helping bring modern smart building capabilities into older facilities. A consistent focus across all of it is energy efficiency and sustainability. Owners are pushing to reduce consumption and carbon impact, and automation systems are key, using sensors, analytics, and machine learning to fine tune performance and improve occupant comfort in real time. Cloud platforms have also shifted how we manage buildings. They enable remote access, faster response, and better coordination across teams. Looking ahead, I’m especially interested in how AI, machine learning, and data driven strategies will continue to advance the next generation of smart buildings. It’s a space that keeps evolving, and I enjoy staying right in the middle of it.
