As Law LLB graduate from Swansea University, I am passionate about pursuing a career as a solicitor, specialising in civil cases. I have developed strong communication, problem-solving, and public speaking skills through my academic and extracurricular activities, such as participating in the Brilliance in Business competition, where I won the first prize for pitching a lucrative business plan on selling a shoe. I have also gained valuable practical experience in the legal field through my mini pupillage at Parkside Chambers, where I am currently observing and assisting barristers in various cases, including trafficking dangerous drugs, adverse possession and money laundry. Additionally, I have also completed a full-time legal internship at Lee Wong and Co, a solicitor firm in Hong Kong; Where I witnessed a wide spectrum of legal practice and developed an interest in family and criminal law. As of now, I plan to complete the Juris Doctor course and then the PCLL course to become a solicitor in Hong Kong.
During the mini-pupilage at Parkside Chambers, I handled a variety of Criminal Law cases covering aspects of the National Security Law, Fraud and Explosives.
During the internship at Parkside Chambers, I was a Mini-Pupil learning from Counsel Osmond Lam. I managed to experience and learn first hand on cases about adverse possession, proprietary estoppels, drug trafficking, prostitution in Hong Kong, civil litigation and more. The mode of delivery was by attending meetings with clients, typing the transcript in court hearings, reading bundles and visiting various courts in Hong Kong.
In December 2020, I did a full time Legal Internship at Lee Wong and Co, a solicitor firm in Hong Kong. During that experience, I've experienced and witnessed a wide spectrum of the legal practice including watching murder court hearings, looking at divorce and bankruptcy cases. I decided that Family Law and Criminal Law was my goal because I enjoyed studying the relationship and societal constructs.
