About

Greetings! My name is Jason Langford, and I've had the honor of being an educator within the vibrant community of Birmingham City Schools since 2002. Over the years, I've dedicated myself to nurturing young minds as a Social Studies teacher across grades 7 to 11, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of over 2000 scholars. My journey in education began at the esteemed Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University, where I proudly earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. Go Bulldogs! Building upon this foundation, I pursued higher education at Grand Canyon University, where I attained a Master in Education Administration. During my tenure in the classroom, my passion for teaching led me to "The Historic A.H. Parker High School" in Birmingham, Alabama, where I taught U.S. History from 2013 to 2022. It was a period filled with enriching experiences and meaningful connections with both students and colleagues. Currently, I am privileged to serve as a Technology Integration Specialist for Birmingham City Schools. In this dynamic role, I collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and students to seamlessly blend pedagogy, technology, and creativity to foster effective education practices. It's a role that allows me to continue my dedication to empowering educators and students alike, striving for excellence in every endeavor. Outside of the classroom, you can often find me exploring new ways to enhance learning experiences, whether through innovative technology or engaging teaching methodologies. I am deeply committed to the mission of providing quality education and am enthusiastic about the journey ahead as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of education together.
