      Work with staff, managers, physicians, medical students, interns, residents, vendors and outside institutions to trouble shoot issues with access to UC Davis Medical Center Applications and Servers. Using expertise quickly identify problems and resolutions to get customers back on track with their work Trouble shoot PC hardware and software to determine what must be done for staff to function. Monitor Network Devices, Servers and applications and quickly analyze trends for resolutions to potential global issues. Escalate issues to higher technicians when needed Deal with difficult customers in a polite and courteous way to insure the best outcome and service level. Speak with both technical and non-technical individuals in a clear and precise manner. Responsible for revising, updating and/or creating new documentation in the knowledge database. Train other staff in areas of expertise Create problem ticket with documentation of processes followed and the outcome of what was done then escalate if needed. Assist other departments, staff, visitors etc that come into the customer support center in a professional manner. In the absence of supervisor(s) act as lead in assisting the staff with issues and questions relating to policy, procedure and problem solving
