Hello! I'm Jason, and I am an Operator II. I currently hold a Class C/D Municipal Wastewater licenses in the State of Michigan. I find it rewarding working with our team of professionals and mentoring colleagues with less experience. Working together, our efforts are making a positive impact on our lakes and rivers. Keeping our waters clean for wildlife and people alike is both satisfying and fulfilling for me.
• Managed daily operations of primary and secondary treatment processes at the DWWTP. • Provided staffing support and assigned tasks to operators, ensuring efficient workflow. • Conducted sampling and adjustments to maintain optimal dissolved oxygen and sludge levels. • Initiated bypassing protocols during high flow events, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Monitored the daily operations of the primary treatment side of the DWWTP combined sewer system. Experienced in Primary treatment and Dewatering processes (Fliter presses / Centrifuges) Skills include: Maintenance, Sampling for Dissolved Oxygen, Total Residual Chlorine, & PST Sludge levels, Custodial and Operational duties. Proficient with various process equipment (screens, rakes, motors, pumps, manual and SCADA (computer) controls, etc)
* Spearheaded the staffing, maintenance, and upkeep of 2 Lift Stations, 1 RTB, & 1 recirculation station. 4 Employees under direct supervision. * Downriver, Rouge Valley, Northeast Sewage Disposal Systems * Maintains and schedules repair of over 20 County vehicles * Ensures timekeeping is accurate and up to date for employees * Complying with MDEQ issued NPDES Permits, submittted reports to MDEQ when flows exceeded capacity and were treated/discharged to the outfalls * Supervisor during Northeast Sewage Disposal System Priority 1B Improvements and the $25M improvements to C.S.O. Retention Treatment Basin (Milk River)
Supervision - Supervised team of three staff members when supervisor was not present, for periods up to 8 months consecutively . Provided on-site training to fellow employees (including management) in newly acquired Electronic Medical Record system in regards to its uses and functions Senior Clerical Specialist - Would assist co-workers in various job details, prioritize tasks at hand, and answered the difficult/unusual questions. Release of Information - Assisted in the release of medical records, ensuring privacy, security, and HIPAA rules & regulations were followed. Archiving - Solely responsible for the retrieval, documentation, and return of all older records housed off-site for Release of Information purposes.
Worked as part of a team on various construction jobs, including concrete/asphalt removal and replacement, guardrail fabrication, and rural drainage ditch maintenance. Loaded flat bed trucks by front end loader, forklift, and hand truck. Properly utilized warehouse equipment and tools to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety. Carried needed tools and supplies from storage and delivered to yards and road crews.
