I am an Executive Director at Amgen Research in the Oncology Therapeutic Area, bringing over a decade of experience in advancing treatments for autoimmune diseases and inflammation. I hold a deep-rooted passion for improving patients' lives and I proudly lead teams in South San Francisco and Thousand Oaks driving Amgen’s innovation in multiple drug development programs. My approach combines scientific rigor with an optimistic outlook while solving challenges in drug discovery to benefit patients worldwide. Ran and managed an in vivo lab to support drug discovery and development. Experience in PKPD for large and small molecules, efficacy studies in a variety of indications (immunology, neuroscience, fibrosis, others).
I did a postdoc in the lab of Mark Anderson, MD, PhD on mechanisms of autoimmunity caused by defects in the autoimmune regulator (Aire) gene. Aire plays a major role in central tolerance by deleting autoreactive T cells from the immune repertoire.
Worked towards understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis, an animal model for Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological disorders.
