I do the hiring/staffing for the Nike store in Aurora Illinois with approximate 150-180 employees. I maintain day to day activities for the store, including scheduling, HR related activities and maintanence for the store.
In the time I spent with Aldi, I have managed multiple stores. I started in the management program and completed it within time allotted. Within each, my tasks ranged from stocking, ordering, merchandising, managing, writing budgets and balancing invoices. I was in charge of writing the schedules for each store, which had about 10 to 15 employees,; I worked closely with the budgets for each store, matching sales and payroll for each. I managed the inventories of each store, making sure there was limited loss of product.
I started off as a part time employee and became a manager based on my job performance. I spent time within each of the seven departments of a single store, at multiple stores in different demographics. My tasks ranged from stocking, scheduling, ordering, merchandising and managing associates. I primarily managed the grocery department, which had about 25 associates,; I spent time with outside vendors to fill sales areas in each store.
