Emphasis on retail merchandising and pricing strategies for total Spices and Flavor Solutions BU as part of the sales planning team. 2025-Current: -Partnered with retail teams to fund lower price points on key core items, resulting in up to 2000bps of positive sales improvement across key brands at major accounts.
-Initially responsible for the Frozen Vegetables and Potatoes P&Ls, worth over $1.5B, and full category strategies. -Evolved to manage Frozen Produce (Vegetables+Fruit+Juice) P&L, worth over $1.4B, and total category strategy. -Revitalized private label program in Frozen Vegetables. This included tailoring assortment to meet customer needs, redesigning packaging to improve shopability for customers and ease of stocking for associates, refining supply chains to ensure improved inventory levels, and getting the right pricing in place. This led to 1500bps of private label share unit gains in the category. Won a Buyer of the Quarter award in FYE18 for this work. -Partnered with CPG companies to deliver on Frozen Vegetable innovation, both being first to market and a price leader. -Improved holding capacity of Frozen Potatoes modular, one of the most efficient categories in Frozen from an assortment perspective, to deliver on in-store availability. Delivered a 15% 1-year $ CAGR through this initiative.
-Learned different facets of running a Sears location in preparation for placement into store management.
-Assisted pricing managers in setting retail prices for 12 locations based on market data and profitability expectations.
Spices and Flavor Solutions team. 2024: -Developed a revamped Weber Rub program for the grocery channel, which became the highest grossing innovation of 2025 for the Spices BU. 2023-2024: -Supported the Weber and Dash brands with an emphasis on pricing and assortment improvements. -Identified over $3MM in annual net sales opportunities based on assortment gaps of existing items. -Led the first SKU rationalization program of the Weber brand in 5+ years to remove poor performers and free up resources for more productive items.
-Responsible for the Frozen Produce (Vegetables+Fruit+Juice) P&L, worth over $1.4B, and total category strategy as well as the merchandising strategy of Division 1 (small square footage stores) for total Frozen Foods. -Delivered a 30% 3-year $ CAGR in Frozen Vegetables (40% in units) through a revitalization of private label offerings of core vegetables balanced with partnering with CPG’s to deliver on innovation, as well as improving on-shelf holding capacity. Total three year $ share gains for Frozen Vegetables category of over 500bps, units over 1000bps. Over the course of my tenure, took total Frozen Vegetables from $750MM in 2017 to $1B in 2021. -Successful private label revitalization project in Vegetables was emulated in Frozen Fruit, with similarly positive results, including 750bps of category share growth. -Partnered cross-functionally to develop a forecasting model down to a DC-item level to help improve inventory levels for our private label program. Won a Quarterly Category Team award in FYE21 for this work. -Expanded this initiative to include branded commodity products (especially products dependent on growing cycles) where future forecasting is vital to ensuring future availability. -Division 1 store merchandising strategy led to growth outpacing the rest of the chain by 800bps by being hyper-focused on assortment.
-Managed the Brand Central (Large Appliance and Electronics) area of the store, including overseeing 10 sales associates. -Merchandising and inventory initiatives led to double digit growth in large appliances, far outpacing the chain (+18% 12-months-ending August 2012). Initiatives included working on floor layout of appliances, increasing on-hand inventory given the high demand of local customers wanting to take product home immediately, and bringing in discontinued merchandise from corporate warehouses for the extreme value shopper.
-Initially responsible for the At-Scale vendor program in core/dry grocery, a program for small volume vendors. -Transitioned to manage the full Snacks category in core/dry grocery. -Identified pricing system opportunities which, when corrected, were worth $15MM to the bottom line of the category. -Identified key private label assortment gaps for total grocery to prioritize for onboarding that aligned with consumables strategy in going after basic grocery solutions for customers, worth an estimated $100MM+ annually for the grocery business.
Responsible for inventory management of the Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts businesses. -Successful detailed replenishment strategy of Frozen Desserts during holidays of 2015 led to highest sales and turns of the business in over 5 years. This included flowing product from vendors to warehouses to stores on a very granular level. Work on this resulted in a Support Associate of the Quarter award in FYE16.
