I am a radiation safety and public health enthusiast, with a variety of experience as a health physicist. I was a Navy Civilian Assistant Radiation Safety Officer overseeing programs for industrial radiography, metallurgy, irradiators and facility decommissioning. I was a lead HP operating an environmental and dosimetry program at Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan. I was a radioactive materials program manager for licensing and inspections, emergency response, complex source removals/exchanges and staff training in WA state as an agreement state regulator. I am currently the strategic planner and readiness coordinator for the WA state Office of Radiation Protection (ORP) with current projects in office widewide radiation safety awareness training, strategic planning and performance measure tracking for the department, legislative coordination for collaborative bill analyses, mentoring and advising ORP/licensee staff on compliance of radioactive materials operations with federal regulations and WA state administrative code.

Radiological Affairs Support Program ARSO providing oversight of shipyard radiation protection programs to include industrial gamma and X-ray radiographic testing, radiation detector calibration, and metallurgy.
Radiation Health (dosimetry, environmental sampling) support for shipyard detachment functions and local emergency drills with local navy/civilian community.
Provide onsite oversight of maintenance and repair of Navy Nuclear Propulsion Plant related work.
