I-Corps prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory, and broadens the impact of select, NSF-funded, basic-research projects. This program teaches NSF grantees to identify valuable product opportunities that can emerge from academic research, and offers entrepreneurship training to participants by combining experience and guidance from established entrepreneurs through a targeted curriculum. In this program, the primary goal is to foster entrepreneurship that will lead to the commercialization of technology. 20 teams participated in this cohort. Each team has 3 members: EL, Principal Investigator (PI) and Mentor (with Industrial experience). I played as Entrepreneurial Lead (EL) role in the National Science Foundation Innovation-Corps Program. During this program, every team has to interview 100 customers to check whether this technology is required or not. Who cares about this technology? If required, will our technology solve their problem. So, our team was first to achieve these 100 interviews (in total 114 interviews). I was elected as 'Most Improved' EL during this cohort.
