Post- graduation: Reasearch project entitled “Neuroprotective Effect Of Berberine Against 3 Nitropropionic Acid Induced Huntington Disease Like Symptoms In Rats” under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Puneet Kumar Bansal , Dept. of Pharmacology, DPST, MRSPTU Bathinda. • Work experinece of behavioural screening models: for learning and memory (Morris water maze, Novel object recognition test, Y-maze etc.), depression (Tail suspension test, Forced swim test, Sucrose preference test), anxiety (Elevated plus maze, Open field test), analgesia (Hot plate method, Tail flick), Reward(CPP), etc. • Drug administration (oral, intraperitoneal, intravenous, subcutaneous) in laboratory animals. • Blood withdrawal techniques like retro-orbital, cardiac puncture, sub-mandibular vein, saphenous vein. • Hands on instruments: Cryostat for sectioning frozen specimen (LEICA CM 1850), Stereotaxic apparatus, Operant chamber, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, HPLC (Waters HPLC-ECD). • Surgeries: Hand on small animal surgeries like stereotaxic cannulation, middle cerebral artery occlusion, electric stimulation in brain nucleus, pylorus ligation surgery. • Hands on computer and different software (GraphPad Prism, Photoshop, ImageJ, MS-office). • Molecular techniques: histological and immunohistochemical staining. • Keeping & maintaining animals and study records.
