• Supervise and assign activities to Inspection engineers (Field Inspector and NDT Technicians). • Mentor and train the local inspection engineers and ensure their progression. • Conduct internal and external planned and unplanned inspection of all equipment’s. • Periodical inspection of Platform structures (Jacket), Well head piping system and static equipment’s (Pressure Vessel, Separator, Drum, Tank, Filter’s, Heater Treater, Slug catcher). • Coordinate with NDT group to access the equipment condition. • Monitor the repairs as per company and international standards for their final acceptance. • Issue equipment’s final inspection report documenting all the findings, NDT results, repairs, testing and recommendations for future use and reference. • Maintain inspection files, records and keep them up to date. • Periodically review the data base information and ensure that appropriate repairs and replacements to the equipment’s are recommended. • Prepare job list for shutdown testing and inspection (T&I) requirement for all equipment’s and piping circuits and participates to finalize the T&I scope of work. • Retirement calculation, corrosion rate calculation, remaining service life calculation and advising for any repair, replacement and rotating requirement. • Quality inspection of new platform installation, commissioning, start up through EPIC contractor, revamping and modifications of existing platform and structures. • Issue inspection work sheet for any findings in the assigned area and follow up with execution. • Participate final walkthrough for new projects and provide exemption items. • Participate technical meeting with Operations and maintenance Engineers for Asset integrity management issues and development. • Implement the Quality Management and Corrosion Management system. • Responsible for co-ordination for field engineering activities with Planning, Operation, Construction, Project Department where areas interface or overlap.
* Review old and new drawing and segregate the drawings area wise. Review old and new drawing and segregate the drawings area wise. • Identify the Tie In location and visually verify the location at site. • Preparation of Tie In package it include to take off all Demolition P & ID, P & ID, Existing ISO and New Isometric drawings. • Material takes off for all Tie In joints. • Prepare a Blind list and submit to operation Department for approval. After getting approval from operation department, order the material. • Issue Tie In package to Contractor for Tie In preparation work. • Carry out pre fabrication inspection at contractor’s site. • Preparation of Flushing procedure. • Site Co ordination with Contractors, Operation & Commissioning Team. • Preparation of punch list, verify mechanical completion system wise handing over to start up team and assist to start-up and commissioning. • Review Contractor’s QA QC documents and prepare Final Data Dossier as per DUGAS Quality (ISO 9001-2008) System requirement.
• Review of contractor’s ITP, WPS, PQR, WPQR, Welder Qualification records, NDE operator qualification records. • Review of MTC, Equipments calibration certificates and consumable certificates. • Participating in the kick off and weekly project progress meeting prepare a meeting minutes and issue to all parties. • Verification of all documents related with inspection activities as per approved ITP. • Monitoring Tanks and Structural steel fabrication and reviewing the documents. • Review of contractor’s Hydro Test packages and Witnessing Hydro Test and Pneumatic Testing • Witnessing Internal and External Painting Inspection. • Supervising CPI Tank Internal Installation (Plate packs, Weir Pipe, Lock bars, Hatch Plates). • Review of final data dossier and issuing final release note to contractor
• Coordination with QAQC Inspectors to assign the daily based inspection activities, for Pre-fabrication of piping and structural’s, erection of Static equipments, Rotating Equipments, piping Inspection of all piping construction activities. • Prepare priority wise prefabrication plan, tracking of free issued materials. • Review the radiographs, witness NDT, hydro test, alignment checking & acceptance of Static and Rotating Equipments. • Preparation of punch list, verify mechanical completion system wise handing over to start up team and assist to start-up and commissioning
QUALITY CONTROL • Checking and inspection of all raw materials and review of MTC to ensure that they meet specification requirements. • Well conversant with various type of construction material such as CS, SS, DSS, CuNi. • Material Inspection Flange/Fittings/Pipes/Plates/Valve & reviewing the MTC. • Sound knowledge in Welding processes and inspection technique. • Supervise and monitor NDT activities, RT film interpretation. • Witness Hardness, PMI, DPI, MPI, UT, Heat Treatment & Ferrite Testing. • Carrying out Painting inspection as per the requirement of Standard & Codes. • Experience in various welding processes like SMAW, GTAW, GMAW & SAW. • Establishing of WPS & PQR for ASME standards • Monitoring construction, erection & maintenance activity as per Standards. • Conduct and witness final pressure test. • Code & Stds’s Worked With: ASME Sec VIII Div 1 , ASME Sec IX, API 1104, ANSI B31.1, ANSI B31.3, ANSI B 31.8, AWS D 1.1, API 12K, API 510, API 570 & TEMA. STATIC & ROTATING EQUIPMENT INSPECTION: • Checking of GA drawing and fabrication drawing & Inspection of Pressure vessels, Heat Exchanger and Regeneration Cooler. • Carryout inspection of Hydro testing, Pigging, Drying, Swabbing, Nitrogen purging, Temporary Cathodic Protection system and PWHT/Stress Relieving, hydro testing of erected loops/pressure vessels. • Visual inspection to find leaks and corrosion for pressure piping, structures, rotating and static equipments and Risk Based Inspection. QUALITY ASSURANCE: • Preparation of Inspection Test Plan. • Conduct in house training and quality awareness to the junior inspectors. • Over all Quality planning and coordinating with other departments for effective and successful execution of project. • Monitoring sub contractors Quality systems and Quality performance. • Calibration of all measuring instruments and maintenance of calibration records • Pipe book Preparation / Preparation of QC dossier as per project requirement.
