I am the former executive vice president of Abbott’s Diabetes Care business. Before taking over as leader of the business, I served as divisional vice president of Technical Operations overseeing the Diabetes Care Research and Development, Medical & Scientific Affairs, and Clinical Affairs organizations. A scientist at heart, I am inspired and motivated by impacting the future of diabetes care with next-generation technologies that are accurate, affordable, accessible and achieve better health outcomes. As head of R&D, I spearheaded the development of Abbott’s now world-leading FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring technology, which is currently used by more than 5 million people across more than 60 countries. This innovation redefined the diabetes experience, making it easier for people to live full and healthy lives and eliminating painful routine fingersticks.
