Jared is passionate about working with Learning Organizations to maximize their impact in a positive way. More than anything, Jared believes that ALL humans are intelligent, and ALL humans can learn just about anything. In fact, deeper learning is the process of discovering and taking responsibility for this capacity that is unmistakably in all of us. Machines are good at learning a narrow set of tasks and skills, but humans have the capacity to learn ANYTHING. That is the human advantage, and Jared’s calling is to shine a light on this human capacity so that, together, we can shape preferable futures through collaboration, diversity, and connectedness. The future is unpredictable and complex, and complexity eats expertise’s breakfast every single day. Diversity, however, can make complexity into something beautiful. • Administered a diverse curriculum on the literatures of the British Empire from ancient to present • Served on the Classroom Innovation Committee and implemented new technologies in traditional classrooms to maximize collaboration and meaningful learning experiences • Organized and hosted collaborative, inter-institutional paper colloquia for students of the metroplex area • Sponsored and supervised Calliope, an annual literary and art magazine • Supervised curricular scope and sequence as well as teaching practices for grades 5 through 12 • Led and Facilitated the English Department’s transition toward a 21st century 1:1 program • Participated in the Academic Steering Committee which supervised and directed curricular alignment K through 12
