I am currently head of the department of Integrated Spatial Planning and Policy at Eindhoven municipality. After a Msc. study Technology and Innovation Policy at the University of Technology in Eindhoven (TU/e), I worked respectively for Siemens Nederland N.V. and the University of Maastricht. In 2005, I started my Ph.D. research at the Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. I received my Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology in October 2011. After receiving my PhD, I worked parttime as a Postdoc Researcher at the Delft University of Technology (Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, Section Transport & Logistics (T&L)). In addition I also worked parttime as a Consultant for DTV Consultants in Breda. From 2014 to 2018 I was fulltime team manager Mobility management and Smart Mobility.
The traffic management (C-ITS) and traffic light department:(Afdeling Realisatie en Beheer) is the department at DTV that specialisezes in traffic management and C-ITS. From 2014 to early 2016 Jan-Willem was Manager of Development and Mobility department at DTV Consultants. From 2010 to 2014 Jan-Willem was a (parttime) Senior Consultant at DTV Consultants
