I'am Jan van der Wel. I founded Technolution in 1987 with three other enthusiastic techies. My bachelors degree studies were about mechanics, electronics en embedded software. My company Technolution is currently a pioneering deep tech company that deploys groundbreaking mission-critical systems at the intersection of electronics, software, and programmable logic. Technolution – the right development We are a technology integrator, developing electronics and software solutions for technical information systems and embedded systems. We can do more with less to get your systems working within a sound business case. Founded in 1987 on a bedrock of technical excellence, we are a self-owned, self-managed organization working in an ISO 9001 environment to create innovative solutions together with our client. We mainly operate in the sectors: traffic and transport, high-tech industry and energy.
In this position, I was responsible for technology strategy concerning Intelligent Transport Systems and embedded systems. My focus was on innovation and technology management including business development.
In 1987 together with three other enthousiatic young technical guys I founded Technolution. Technology and computing was our passion and we had the vision to do more with our knowledge than only designing automation systems for horticulture. This period I was focussed on getting new customers for Technolution. One of my first business successes was acquiring Rijkswaterstaat and Philips as customers and currently they still are.

The South Holland region is the one of the largest economic centers of the Kingdom of The Netherlands. It contributes for up to 25% GDP. The Economic Board South Holland (EBZ) is about the innovation of the industrial potential in this region. Based on strengths present in the region, the board establishes programs in order to focus investments in innovation. My role is about digitalisation in the region and more specific the digital supply system needed for industry.
