I am a Research Psychologist and Assistant Manager in the Psychological Research and Evaluation division, at the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Singapore. I graduated with a Master of Science in Social Cognition: Research and Applications (Distinction) from University College London in 2025 and a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Minor in Business Management (Highest Distinction) from the National University of Singapore in 2024. I was also a Singapore Government Scholar with the MSF, Singapore from 2021 to 2025.
The MSF Undergraduate Scholarship is a Singapore Government Scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and administered through the Public Service Commission (PSC) to outstanding students who desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Assisted in the quantitative and qualitative research of the characteristics and risk factors relating to adolescent sexual and violent offenders (ASOs/AVOs). The aim of the research is to inform the Ministry about correlates and predictors of risk offending. The gained knowledge will inform better treatment plans. Responsibilities include: literature review (such as meta-analysis and systematic reviews), data analysis (such as latent-class analysis, factor analysis, Cox regression and mediation) and presentation of findings.
The UTCP is an interdisciplinary academic programme. For cohorts AY2020/2021 and before, this comprises of a set of 5 modules (1 Junior Seminar, 2 Senior Seminars and 2 Ideas and Exposition modules) which may satisfy students’ General Education Requirements. Modules are interdisciplinary. They generally fulfill the role of developing skills of critical thinking, questioning and argumentation, broadening students through them responding to ideas outside their own discipline. Acknowledgement for completion of the UTCP is placed on students’ university transcript, and recognized by a College certificate.
