Within the scope of the apprenticeship as ship mechanic, all everyday technical and nautical tasks on board a ship are taught. It is a complete basic training in maritime shipping and the basis for a career as a chief engineer or captain. During the training period, 18 months of seagoing service must be completed on board a cargo ship.
