I didn't set out to work in talent. I started my career as a Stylist and Art Buyer, embedded in the creative process, surrounded by makers. But somewhere along the way, I became the person everyone came to--for advice, for a reality check, for someone who would actually listen. I didn’t choose talent management, it felt like it chose me. I moved to New York and spent years working alongside some of the top CCOs in advertising. Fortunately for me that path led me to BUCK, one of the most respected creative studios in the world. Along the way I picked up every tool the role demands: talent acquisition, org design, change management, M&A, training and development, HR, performance management, succession planning. But the through-line was never the function. It was the belief that drove it. Here's what I’ve learned over the years: craft and character are not separable. The best creative environments aren't built by chasing awards with fake projects--they're built by finding people who operate at the highest level of their craft and show up for the people around them. No ego. Genuinely collaborative. The kind of person who makes everyone in the room better. It's the standard I hold myself to first, and everything else follows from there. My personal mantra is simple: say what you mean, mean what you say. At BUCK, I've spent years supporting global talent--building DEIB into mentorship, education and employee development, so people can become the best version of themselves. At Residence, I work with companies as a strategic advisor and coach with a focus on helping leadership teams think more clearly about their people, their structure, and the kind of environment they're actually trying to build. I still don't think I chose this work. But after 20 years, I can't imagine doing anything else.
