Janine Griffiths is an Associate Solicitor in Civil Litigation, specialising in Personal Injury Claims and Landlord & Tenant disputes. Janine has over 16 years PQE in Personal Injury claims, having qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2003 before going on to continue studying, whilst working full time, and qualifying as a Solicitor (with a distinction in her LPC) in 2007. Janine joined Martyn Prowel Solicitors in 2008 and has, since then, dealt with a wide range of general civil litigation and negligence claims on behalf of clients. Janine handles a variety of Personal Injury claims ranging from relatively straightforward fractures and physical injuries to high value brain injury claims. Her knowledge and experience in this area affords her clients access to a high standard of expertise and exceptional negotiation skills. In the last few years, Janine has branched out into Landlord & Tenant law, now heading the Department, and has gained significant experience and knowledge in this ever-changing area. Janine has dealt with all manner of issues arising between Landlords and Tenants, and acts on behalf of both in relation to resolving issues in the most cost effective and timely manner. Associate Solicitor in the Civil Litigation Department, focusing on Landlord & Tenant matters and Claimant Personal Injury work. Personal Injury - I handle a substantial and varied caseload of Personal Injury cases, dealing all manner of accident circumstances, with varying degrees of injury from simple fractures, to extensive brain injuries and psychological issues. My caseload includes Fast Track claims as well as a high volume of Multi-Track cases, with complex and life-changing injuries. I also act for Defendants in uninsured Personal Injury matters, and handle complicated multi-Defendant matters. Landlord & Tenant - Over the past few years, I have taken my career out in an additional direction and have become a self-taught specialist in this area of law. I have gained significant knowledge and experience and am now Head of the Landlord & Tenant Department, dealing with a full range of private residential tenancy issues, acting on behalf of both Landlords and Tenants. My role involves the supervision of Trainees and Paralegals, who I am always happy to assist and advise. I'm also responsible for much of our charity work, organising and partaking in several fund-raising events.

Started employment with Charles, Crookes and Jones as Legal Receptionist and also secretary to Richard Whiting, a Tax Consultant who was based within the offices. Quickly developed a love of law from typing for various Fee Earners thoughout the firm, and then commenced the ILEX Course in order to qualify as a Legal Executive. Promotion to Legal Secretary in the Litigation Department, working for the Head of Personal Injury in around 1997, and subsequently to Trainee Legal Executive (and secretary) when I qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in June 2003.
