With 28 years in the mining and hydrocarbon industry, I am an experienced Business Leader and Non-Executive Director with a passion for safety, and bringing resources and people together. I am motivated by the challenge of our generation to navigate the energy transition, balancing the health of our planet with the development needs of its population. A geoscientist by background, I have broad international experience in the resource industry (24 with Shell and 4 with BHP), during which I led large integrated projects with emphasis on safety leadership and project management. I have extensive experience in commercial negotiations, government relations, and operations. I am proficient with organisational change management (focused on safety, human factors, new country entries and venture set-up) and held Non-Executive Director positions.

Responsible for planning and execution of all exploration activities for held acreage in BHP's Metals Exploration portfolio. Leading 38 people in 6 teams spread over 5 countries (Australia, UK, US, Peru, Chile).
Rebuilding BHP exploration capability in the Europe/Africa region, focussing on future facing minerals important to the energy transition like Copper, Nickel and Cobalt.
The position of Global Exploration Safety Leadership Manager, reports to the Executive Vice President for Global Exploration and aims to further strengthen the safety leadership culture in Exploration and with our partners in the contractor community and within Shell. In addition, as of October 2020 I have taken the role of Exploration Manager for Regional Ventures Asia
Responsible for establishing and managing all aspects of Shell's exploration and appraisal efforts in Albania. Managing a projected spend level of around US$ 150 mln annually and responsibility for around 50 direct and indirect staff in-country and in the London office.
