About

Lawyer, legal researcher, writer and sessional academic. I have practiced or worked in the areas of family law, criminal law and human rights. My research interests include Indigenous rights, gender and the law, and law and the humanities (with a focus on critical legal studies and legal storytelling). Outside of my legal work I am also a sometime creative writer, and have written and published fiction, non-fiction, poetry and criticism in a range of journals, magazines and anthologies, including Limina Journal, Red Pocket Press, Pencilled In, and Right Now.

My PhD looks at creating a migrant's jurisprudence, and examining violence in the home through the eyes of a migrant subject. Research areas of relevance to the PhD include family law, law and humanities, and critical race theory.
