I have been practicing law since 1979, mostly in Family Court. I handle cases involving separation and divorce, custody, visitation, relocation, child support, and contempt of court. I have been in the firm of Bluestein and Douglas, L.L.C. since 1999. I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, graduated from Ashley Hall in 1972 and received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1976. I attended Boston University Law School for my first year, transferred to University of South Carolina School of Law in 1977, and received my Juris Doctorate in 1979. I was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1979, and have been certified in Collaborative Law since 2004.
I am an experienced family law practitioner. Our firm represents all parties in divorce, custody, property distribution, child support, alimony, and enforcement actions. I have experience with UCCJCA (interstate custody) cases, Hague Convention (international custody) cases and international divorce cases. I have been involved in multi-party custody trials.
I represented indigent clients, and focused in the areas of family law and consumer law.
