  • Regional Workforce Coordinator at Skills Hubs
    May 2022 - Present · 4 yrs 2 mos

The Home Care Workforce Support Program (HCWSP) is an Australian Department of Health-funded grant. Consortium member Skills Hubs, along with COTA and Skills Generation, have been awarded the contract to deliver the Commonwealth’s Home Care Workforce Support Program across Queensland. Skills Hubs is a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on enhancing people's skilling and career opportunities by engaging with organisations, the community and the VET sector. A key aim of the program is to build the capacity of the sector to attract, train and retain quality staff to work in home and community settings with aging people who wish to continue to live in their own homes safely and well for as long as possible. It is a big and important project that has its origins from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety’s final report. I'm excited to be here. If you're a HCP provider in the Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley or Scenic Rim regions, give me a call. I'd love to connect and explore how I might be able to help you attract, train and retain skilled staff for your home and community care workforce.
