I am a designer, art director, and educator. I live in The Hague. The world is in a constant state of flux – culturally, politically, socially, economically, so is education and design. As a creative art director and educator, I believe that designers have a very powerful position, as they possess the ability to respond to these changes and even shape them. As a creative art director and designer, I collaborate with international organizations that focus on development and social impact. In addition, I initiate own projects, such as create visual stories and conduct design workshops. My goals are to translate complex subjects related to our changing world into understandable and engaging formats and making them accessible. As an educator, I guide students in developing a critical perspective on the evolving world, exploring dynamic design practices, and discovering their own unique positions. I inspire students to take on the role of changemaker and become leaders of the future that does not exist yet. I firmly belief in a united world – I grew up between Warsaw, Bremen and Amsterdam. I speak four languages fluently, and work internationally from The Hague to Addis Ababa and Dhaka. This open mindset is an integral part of my approach as both a creative art director and an educator.
PITCH BLACK is a The Hague and Berlin based corporate design studio, that mainly works for international, intergovernmental organizations, NGOs, social and cultural institutions. We create consistent and authentic presentations of companies and institutions and accompany from the conceptional basics to the practical realization from print to online media.
I am teaching the 2nd, 3rd year students and the final projects of the 4th year at the department of spacial and graphic design. My specialisation are design processes, image making, design and research methods. I have a passion for giving workshops where students learn how to use creative thinking techniques and design methodes, to deepen their understanding of the project, concepts and designs.
