My experience spans human resources, communications, advocacy, content creation, and research, with a particular interest in DE&I, community engagement, and strategic communications. As a Book Reviewer for NetGalley, I review advance reader copies (ARCs) across various genres by providing analytical, audience-focused feedback for publishers and authors. My role involves writing concise and thoughtful reviews that evaluate narrative structure, themes, pacing, characterization, and overall reader engagement while maintaining consistent review timelines and managing digital reading content across online platforms. I also share reviews through reader communities and social media platforms to support book visibility and audience engagement.
As the project head for LGBTQIA+ Awareness Day commemorations, I led initiatives that fostered inclusivity and advocacy both online and on campus. I collaborated with external partners and internal teams, including Social Media and Creatives, to execute impactful campaigns and events. I was responsible for designing and planning promotional materials that ensured consistent and compelling messaging across social media platforms. Additionally, I contributed written content such as articles and captions, and provided proofreading support to maintain clarity, tone, and inclusivity. My efforts were recognized with the Outstanding Officer Award for leadership, creativity, and dedication to LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
During my time in this role, I took a proactive approach to HR policy development and internal process optimization. I audited existing HR and clinic management procedures, conducted staff interviews, and collaborated with specialists to update policy documentation for clarity and consistency. To support policy rollouts, I designed visually engaging internal communication materials, such as posters, infographics, and videos, using Canva and Powtoon. I also provided cross-functional support to the Clinic and Data Management teams, managing medical records, 201 files, and inventory, while facilitating patient transfers and assisting Talent Acquisition with backlogged files. I maintained detailed trackers and monitored documentation progress using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to ensure data accuracy across departments. In addition, I delivered timely progress updates to supervisors via Microsoft Outlook, fostering transparency and cross-team alignment. I independently managed time-sensitive projects, including specialist offboarding and intern handovers, and gained hands-on experience in organizational development through real-time application of policy drafting, internal communications, process auditing, and collaborative project execution.
As part of Animo Pride 2024, I co-led advocacy initiatives focused on promoting gender equality, inclusion, and LGBTQIA+ visibility within the community. I contributed written pieces to the official Pride Magazine, spotlighting powerful stories and advocacies that amplified queer voices and experiences. Additionally, I played a role in organizing the Animo Pride Drag Concert Extravaganza, helping to deliver a vibrant and memorable celebration of diversity, creativity, and pride.
