After having finished my degree within the field of automation, I started as a technician of laboratory automation at the MPI-CBG Dresden an got upgraded to be the head of automation fo this institute in 2007. End of 2011 I changed my employer, going to LiCONiC instruments AG Liechtenstein where I was helping setting up their German entity "LiCONiC Deutschland GmbH" and handling parts of the service and development as project manager. Nowadays I am back at the MPI-CBG in order to help as Head of Laboratory Automation and Instrument Repair as well as realizing technical and IT-related microscopy support. In 2014 I founded Lab Angels. The company offers consultancy in laboratory automation and develops devices for the biotechnology market. * Development of laboratory automation devices (standalone or integrated) for the Biotech industry * Lab automation consulting for multiple scientific workgroups outside the MPI-CBG * Helping scientific laboratories towards acquisitions, application setup, quality checking and permanent maintenance of laboratory automation

* Support decision process for the acquisition of lab automation and its integration in the current workflows and given automation setup * Setup of automated lab processes for 25 scientific work groups including liquid handlers (contact, acoustic), drop dispensers, and automated microscopes of different types * Administration of the complete IT infrastructure of a HT Screening unit * Definition and Structuring of biological processes and realization of those with the help of automated devices * Setup of a proprietary Laboratory Information Management System
