As Executive Vice President and Chief of Global Content Protection, I provided strategic leadership and direction for the MPA's global content protection initiatives, encompassing all aspects of anti-piracy strategy, operations, and partnerships. I also spearheaded worldwide efforts to combat piracy and led strategic initiatives and operations to disrupt piracy networks, protect content, and promote a healthy online ecosystem for creative industries within the film and television industry. As an advocate for stronger intellectual property protections and collaborative approaches to combating piracy, I collaborated with industry and law enforcement partners to develop and implement innovative anti-piracy initiatives, such as new disruption and enforcement methods, consumer education campaigns, and championed the protection of a dynamic legal marketplace for creative content.
As Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief of Global Content Protection, I provided strategic leadership and direction for the MPA's global content protection efforts, aligning initiatives with industry priorities and the ever-changing piracy landscape. I also managed a global team of content protection professionals, including investigators, analysts, legal experts, and technology specialists, who contributed to the development and implementation of comprehensive anti-piracy strategies, encompassing legal and technological aspects, and analyzing piracy trends and data to identify emerging threats and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
As Vice President and Deputy Chief of Global Content Protection, I contributed to the development and implementation of global content protection strategies, policies, procedures, and best practices related to content protection and intellectual property enforcement. I collaborated with internal stakeholders and external partners to address common challenges and promote cooperation in content protection efforts. By staying abreast of emerging technologies used by copyright infringers, piracy detection techniques, and digital rights management, I was able to evaluate new tools and solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of content protection operations.
As the Head of ACE, I cultivated strong relationships with over 50 global members, including major film studios, television broadcasters, streaming platforms, and sports leagues to enhance collective anti-piracy efforts. I fostered a culture of information sharing and collaboration within the coalition, which led to successful operations that resulted in the shutdown of numerous illegal streaming websites and services, torrent sites, and illicit streaming device operations.
