- Coordinate the responsibility of the Auditor-General's Office in terms of engagement with planning, risk assessment and finalisation of both audit work in the normal audit cycles (PFMA and MFMA) and specialist assignment - Facilitate the flow of and finalisation of key reports that are finalised at the level of the Auditor-General (general reports and certain specialist assignments) - Oversee international participation and engagement in the Office of the Auditor-General and the broader AGSA (INTOSAI in general, INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee (CBC), international audits, international assignments and representation) - Support Auditor-General in oversight of the functioning of the AFROSAI-E secretariat - Member of secretariat of the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee (involved with strategy development, facilitation, technical developments such regional professionalism, etc) - Member of the ministerial task team on professionalisation of the public service (2021 and 2022) - Coordinate the Auditor-General Office's engagement with key AGSA strategic documents - Oversee administration and governance activities in the Auditor-General's office - Involvement in the audit of the African Union, both at the level of the Audit Operations Committee and the Board of Audit - Involvement in the AGSA's training programs to media - Lead on the Peer Review of SAI Canada (2019) - Member of the task team that worked on the amendments to the Public Audit Act (2017 and 2018) - Chair of task team that facilitated the implementation of the new AGSA status of records review process (2017) - Member of the IBPSA Advisory Committee (2022) - Member of ACCA SA Network Panel (2023 and 2024) - Project lead on AGSA’s 2025 chairing of the SAI20 engagement group
- Support on all matters related to Auditor-General's role as chair of the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee (CBC) - Support and inputs on all other INTOSAI matters - Representation on a number of INTOSAI structures - Development of reworked INTOSAI CBC value proposition and strategic plan - Co-lead on the development of a "whitepaper on professional development - auditor certification" (2014) - Chair of INTOSAI Task Group on INTOSAI auditor certification, on behalf of Chair of INTOSAI CBC (responsible for position paper of professionalism in INTOSAI and a first INTOSAI Competency Framework for Public Sector Audit Professionals (2014 to 2016), as well as an expanded framework (2019)) - Chair of the INTOSAI Task Force on INTOSAI Auditor Professionalisation, on behalf of Chair of INTOSAI CBC (responsible for the development of ISSAI 150 on auditor competence and its related guidance on competency frameworks (GUID 1950) and pathways for professional development (GUID 1951) for inclusion in the INTOSAI Framework of Professional Pronouncements (2020 to 2022)) - Member of Steering Committee of the INTOSAI Professional Standards Committee on behalf of the INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee - Member of the INTOSAI goal chairs collaboration mechanism
Acting role to support the Auditor-General as part of the leadership transitioning process at the start of her term in office. The role of the Deputy Auditor-General is spelt out in the Public Audit Act, 2004 (as amended) as that of the head of administration.
•Audit involvement (CSIR, Landbank, National Sorghum Breweries, Barlow Motor Holdings, Capital Motors, Tongaat Cotton, etc) •Consulting involvement (Learning development and facilitation, strategic planning, process re-engineering, development of frameworks for internal control, due diligence reviews, financial management), with at least three of these years spent in consulting assignments at the Auditor-General South-Africa.
