Responsibilities: • Reporting directly to Group Operations Director • Manage and lead eighteen subordinates with a hierarchy of four line managers reporting directly to me. • Head of all operational activities within warehousing, operations department and workshops. • Heading up and managing system controls and processes • Manage and oversee all labour related matters, including the outsourcing of some of the labour functions. • Managing and overseeing majority of the procurement – negotiating with suppliers and stock control. • Asset management and overseeing asset control in departments, including loss control. • Overseeing and managing costing and margin calculations on all consignments. • Creating operational manuals, standards and regulations within the area of operation and managing the processes. • Managing and overseeing fleet allocation, fleet planning including fleet management control.
