Develop and maintain an open-source embedded control firmware and its web configurator. Work in C on STM32 targets to add features like hardware presets, custom on-screen elements, and serial telemetry. On the front end, use JavaScript/HTML to implement dynamic UI behavior and form validation. Responsibilities include defining new data structures, extending serial command handlers, updating display routines, integrating persistent settings, and managing builds with GitLab CI.
I took a sabbatical to explore new horizons, traveling from Lisbon to the cliffs of Galicia, across Europe to celebrate Midsummer in Estonia, sailing on Finland’s Inari Lake, and reaching the Arctic Circle to witness the midnight sun at Nordkapp. During this journey, I remained productive by working on personal projects that I believe enhanced my technical and project management skills: Crypto Tax Assessment Tool: Streamlined cryptocurrency tax calculations for greater accuracy and efficiency. Cryptocurrency DCA investment Bot: Expanded functionality with advanced algorithms to optimize investment strategies. Raspberry Pi-Powered Plant Monitoring System: Developed an IoT-based solution for real-time plant health monitoring. I have decided to travel the world and took a sabbatical. I hiked in the world's highest mountains in Nepal and experienced the rich Asian culture. I have seen the incredible natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan from a horse saddle during my mountain horse riding adventure. Last but not least I have spent amazing time in Portugal, where I moved to live and to get to know the southern European lifestyle / culture first hand. Currently I am looking for new job opportunities again.
