Jan Piet Jacobi is an experienced Hotel Consultant for (but not limited to) new build hotels and office building conversions. Over a period of more then 50 years Jan Piet has been able to work in all departments of luxury hotels and is specialized in purchasing and logistics. During a period of 27 years employment for InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Jan Piet has worked together with the top of Interior designers like Pierrre-Yves Rochon, Ezra Attia, Karl Lagerfeld and Wilson, Gregory and Aeberhard and Conran and Partners. During these 27 years Jan Piet was fully responsible for the purchasing and installation of the Amstel InterContinental Amsterdam and the Schloss Hotel Vierjahreszeiten in Berlin. In 1999, when Bass plc took over IHG from the Japanese company Seibu Saison, Jan Piet was appointed to Purchasing Director for IHG Benelux with a portfolio of 11 hotels. Since 2007 Jan Piet is independly working as a Senior Consultant and had projects for Westbridge Europe, Parker Europe, Apollo Hotels & Resorts, Womitex Netherlands and Germany and F&B consultancy for the Crowne Plaza Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Since 2012 Jan Piet has been responsible for purchasing and installation of FF&E for 9 office building conversions to hotels for The Vincent Hotel Group and in 2015 for the FF&E and OS&E of the new build Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport hotel for the EFD Investment Partners. As of 2016 new conversion projects and new builds were realized for the Borealis Hotel Group and Aurora Hotel Group in Antwerp, Brussels, The Hague, Utrecht, Amstelveen and Amsterdam as well as the LEED Platinum certified QO Hotel for Amstelside Company and managed by IHG in Amsterdam.
