Representing employers interests towards the federal state government of Hesse. Preparation of political inputs and working papers on labour market and social policy related issues. Giving advice to member companies on social legislation and payroll taxes. Nominating honorary judges for social courts towards the Ministry of Justice in Hesse. Organizing information meetings for company representatives on Labour market, social security and tax-related issues.
Representing the industries of commercial kitchen equipment as well as producers of heating and cooking appliances towards the EU Commission, the European Parliament and member states representatives. Coordination of the activities of CEFACD, the European Committee of Heating and Cooking appliances manufacturers. Active Participation in Working Groups and Task Forces e.g. at Orgalime, EFCEM, BDI and ZVEI. Selected achievements: - Represented the Industry in negotiations on ecodesign and labeling for kitchen and heating appliances. - Prepared inputs on behalf of the Industry for European Product-, Energy-, Environmental- and Climate Policy. - Constant Monitoring of trends and legal developments impacting the industries represented by HKI, EFCEM and CEFACD.
Working as a focal point for member enterprises from the sectors of commercial kitchen equipment as well as manufacturers of heating and cooking appliances. At the same time representing the association towards German political institutions and the general public. Selected achievements: - Prepared political inputs on the role of the heating sector and renewable energies in the German energy turnaround. - Engaged in discussions on renewable energies with representatives from German Ministries. - Constant Monitoring of trends and legal developments impacting the industries represented by the association.
Worked as part of the team responsible for identifying best practices and strategies for employment promotion through labour cooperatives in different regions of South Africa. Selected achievements: - Contributed to a proposal on job creation through labour cooperatives presented to the jobs fund created by the South African government. - Prepared working papers on the role of self-help groups in local economic development to develop a strategy for the effective implementation of the project in different regions of South Africa.
Worked closely with the general management in researching approaches in developing a financial services cooperative in South Africa. Selected achievements: - Conducted market research and provided inputs on existing financial infrastructure and self-help in rural areas and townships in South Africa. - Contributed to the development of a strategy for effective implementation of financial services cooperatives building on existing financial self-help groups.
