BRAI3N: Brain Research center for Advanced, Innovative, Interdisciplinary and International Neuromodulation. BRAI3N is one of the leading research centres in the area of auditory neuroscience, tinnitus, pain, neuroimaging and electrophysiology, neuromodulation and brain stimulation. By investigating the common neurophysiological mechanisms clustering groups of pathologies, BRAI3N seeks to understand how the brain is involved in specific disorders. In particular, we are focusing on research of brain disorders that should lead to a deeper understanding of brain function in dyslexia, aphasia, agnosia, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, mild cognitive impairment, obsessive compulsive disorders, depression and tinnitus. Our main interest is the understanding and treatment of brain disorders, especially by use of functional imaging navigated non-invasive (TMS, tDCS, tACS, tRNS, LORETA neurofeedback) and invasive (implants) neuromodulation techniques.
