Als zesjarige verkocht ik zonder toestemming mijn moeders antiek op straat: mijn eerste stap als ondernemer. Na mijn afstuderen aan de Hogere Hotelschool Den Haag ben ik blijven bouwen aan merken en initiatieven die maatschappelijke waarde hebben. Sinds 2022 ben ik aanvoerder van Metakids. In 2024 lukte het om het grootste goede doelen podium van Nederland voor onze missie te mobiliseren: 3FM Serious Request. Een ongekend succes, op radio en televisie, met als resultaat een recordopbrengst van €12,5 miljoen en voor het eerst metabole ziekten landelijk op de kaart. Nu gaan we doorpakken, voor een toekomst waarin elk kind met een metabole ziekte gelukkig kan opgroeien. In 2025 stond ik op de VVD Tweede Kamer kandidatenlijst. Samen bouwen aan de toekomst, mensen verbinden en goede ideeën omzetten in tastbare resultaten. Ondernemerschap verbinden met een trackrecord op maatschappelijke impact; een krachtige mix.
More than 10,000 families have one or more children with a metabolic disease. The deadliest disease among children. These diseases destroy the body. In all cases, without treatment, a child becomes ill and instead of growing up, a process of deterioration begins. Therefore, the impact of metabolic diseases is enormous. We believe in a world where all metabolic diseases are treatable and no child has to die from them anymore. That is why we raise money for research. So doctors can find more treatments for these children.
