A big part of my professional life was in the green coffee trade with decades of dedication to the industry. After my coffee trading days i founded Kahawatu Foundation https://kahawatu.org, a non-profit that continues to seek a sustainable and equitable future for coffee farmers in Burundi. As global head, Coffee & Tea Sourcing and subsequently Chief Procurement Officer for JDE Peets, i played a key role in formulating Common Grounds, the green coffee sustainability strategy of the company. Also, i oversaw various operational and systems transformations, while driving best-in-class working capital results on a total spend of about USD 3 billion. Today I advise select clients and am invested in 4 social impact enterprises that aim to make a difference in this world.
