In 2006, I moved from the Netherlands to Croatia and founded my first company, M+ Group, that same year. What began as a small startup grew into one of Europe’s leading BPTO providers, now employing more than 11,000 professionals in 14 countries. I exited M+ Group in 2016, when the company had already surpassed 400 employees, marking my first successful exit from a business I founded. Later that year, I co-founded Webpower Adria, which has since become the leading Email Marketing Automation provider in the Adriatic region, supporting around 250 companies. Webpower Adria also made headlines as one of the first companies in the region to introduce a 4-day workweek with full-time pay — a move that reshaped expectations around work-life balance. In 2025, Webpower Adria was acquired by Spotler, marking my second successful exit. Alongside building companies, in 2020 I launched the initiative to introduce a digital nomad visa in Croatia. With strong support from the Prime Minister, Croatia became one of the first countries in the world to welcome digital nomads with a formal 12-month residence permit — an achievement that helped position the country as a global hub for remote professionals. Nearly 20 years after arriving in Croatia, I’m proud of everything we’ve built — but even more excited about what lies ahead.
