I work on cosmological simulations as part of the Learning the Universe collaboration. My main field is code development.
I run and evaluate numerical simulations to extend the research I carried out during my PhD.
I have worked for four years as a doctoral candidate in computational astrophysics and graduated in August 2021. My work involved the preparation, execution, and evaluation of state-of-the-art numerical simulations to test the impact of different, theoretically possible models for physical interactions in the late Universe on the properties of small nearby galaxies (so-called dwarf galaxies). I identified several significant differences between models that may allows us to distinguish between them with the help of the next generation of telescopes within 5-10 years. On the technical side, my key skills are coding (C, C++, and python), organizing my own schedule, and working in a collaborative environment, either on site or remotely.
