DarkRift Networking is a powerful multiplayer game solution originally conceived as a small side project to entertain my time but after 8 years is now one of the top five networking systems available for Unity, even winning a recommendation from Unity themselves. Released in 2014, it slowly built up an avid community that consistently describe it as the simplest, best, and fastest networking system for Unity. With the release of DarkRift 2, it expanded its market share and become a notable and steadfast player in the Unity networking area. In April 2022 DarkRift was aquired from me by Unordinal AB and released as an open source project for the benefit of its users. I continue to work with Unordinal on the direction and future of DarkRift and the community.
