Responsible for day-to-day logistics operations for Telecom Projects in the assigned region. Coordinates laydown yard and material logistics as well as resolve any material availability issues for Telecom projects. Coordinates support requirements with Telecom and with AEP Stores to resolve field level issues related to material flow for current and upcoming projects. Ensures the right products are delivered to the right location on time. Works collaboratively with stores, construction, operations, project teams. Actively attends and participates in status meetings to ensure that all material needs and logistics are being met. Monitors the flow of goods from the vendor to the lay down yards, storerooms or job sites using the expediter notepad in asset suite and working with Telecom’s expediter. Acts as a liaison to communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure that material is correctly accounted for and delivered. Assists Telecom Ops, Engineering, Construction and Supply Chain Operations personnel with issues, transfers, receipts, etc.
Primary contact for the machine sales force in a designated territory as related to the locating, transporting, preparing and delivering of machine inventory. Assists sales management meet the goals and objectives of the machine sales department by serving as the initial contact for customers in determining inventory availability and rental as well as organizing machine order completion packages for the sales force. Assists the District Sales Manager in other sales related tasks
Ensures the uninterrupted flow of production by obtaining and ensuring delivery of acceptable quality goods and services. Develops reliable alternate sources of supply to meet company requirements. Provides leadership in the standardization of materials, supplies, equipment, services and policies. Provides leadership for the management of inventories of purchased goods to meet the use requirements of contractors at the lowest possible cost. Gives prime consideration to the company’s interests while seeking to maintain the further long term, mutually profitable, ethical supplier relationships.
Supervised three to five diesel technicians as they performed machine repairs in the field. Coordinated jobs. Opened work orders. Monitored each job’s progress. Requested/obtained purchase orders from customers and invoiced them. Worked to maintain high customer satisfaction standards, ensure customer retention and find immediate solutions for any customer complaint. Kept weekly inventory of all machines and equipment on the yard. Inspected machines as they arrived, and updated shipping/receiving information in DBS system daily.
