As a communications professional with a formal education in public relations and marketing, I work to amplify local, national and international brands. I graduated from Mount Royal University and hold a Bachelors in Communications with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. In 2011 I completed my Public Relations Extension Certificate, and in 2014 I completed my Event Management Certificate through Mount Royal Universities Continuing Education program. I have a passion for digital marketing, media relations and communications/marketing as a whole. I invest my time into art and culture initiatives by working with local music organizations and publications, community groups, art festivals and more. Through my education and work experience, I've developed skills in a range of areas. As an Account Manager at PARKER PR I've worked alongside a number of clients on projects including social media, marketing, community engagement, event management and strategic planning. My role consists of: - Managing a small team of Communications Coordinators and Public Relations Interns - Maintain the Twitter, Instagram and Facebook Page platforms for a variety of clients in different industries. - Sponsorship acquisition - Media relations management, which includes writing media releases, pitches and coordinating media interviews. - Helped garner 114,000,000 media views for Beakerhead - Calgary's smash up of art, science and engineering in 2017 - Worked with Chef Darren MacLean, a finalist on Netflix's The Final Table prior to the show release, on his personal branding role out. Gained local, national and international media coverage.
