Seasoned asset management leader in the UK’s (and more recently Europe's) BESS energy sector, with over a decade of experience spanning utility-scale battery storage, hydropower, and solar. Currently serving as European Asset Management Director at Harmony Energy, I lead the strategy and operating model for asset management across Harmony’s European battery storage portfolio, spanning technical performance, commercial optimisation and risk. I build the systems, processes and team capability needed to scale safely, ensuring strong availability, compliance and long term value from each site. I work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners across development, construction, O&M and trading to turn projects into high performing operating assets. Combining deep technical knowledge with commercial acumen, I have implemented long-term service agreements with major OEMs (Tesla, BYD, Envision), managed real-time market (RTM) trading partnerships with Tesla, EDF, BP, Shell and others, and developed in-house platforms for SoH/availability analytics and performance benchmarking. I also have experience in both development and construction, including project-managing asset delivery through to energisation when required. Before entering renewables & energy storage, I worked in sustainability roles across the private and cultural sectors, including the Royal Academy of Arts and British Land.
Harmony Energy is one of the UK’s leading developers, owners and operators of utility-scale battery energy storage. As Head of Asset Management, I take lead responsibility for the management of Harmony's Energy Storage Assets from the end of construction and into their operational phase.
Eelpower operates large-scale commercial energy storage assets. We understand the problems facing UK electricity infrastructure from our background in solar PV, large scale hydropower and commercial energy storage at renewable generation sites in the UK. As Eelpower's Asset Manager I ensure that each battery asset performs and that every revenue stream has been maximised. My responsibilities include: • Site performance analysis and reporting • Identification and implementation of site/revenue optimisation opportunities • Reviewing site operational budgets with finance on a regular basis • O&M contractor management, including regular update meetings and performance data reconciliation • Revenue contract management, including managing our relationship with our energy supplier/dispatcher.
Our goal is to build, own and operate high quality and economically viable low head hydroelectric power stations, using and improving existing river structures so as to encourage fish migration and accommodate all other river users. Low head hydropower is generated from the run of the river. We believe that is the best form of electricity generation since it has the most permanent infrastructure, generates for the greatest proportion of the time and, uniquely among renewables, more than 80% of all spending goes into the local UK economy. www.barnenergy.co.uk
