The main responsibility was to produce a management report which showed senior management how the Volkswagen UK retail network was doing financially. I had to prepare monthly team meetings, as well as compiling the highly confidential brand franchise review for distribution to senior management. My job also entailed liaising with many people around the organization in order to facilitate the set up, termination or change of ownership of a retailer. One of my roles was to support the franchise manager in producing presentations on the future representation strategy for Volkswagen UK, which would then be presented to the board of directors in Germany. My job also meant compiling accurate information (financial and non financial information) on our retailers for the Volkswagen or Group director prior to their visit.
