I am currently a graduate student studying social work (MSW) at the University at Buffalo. I have a BSW from the College at Brockport where I traveled to Vietnam and Peru to do international social work and humanitarian volunteering. I currently work as a graduate assistant in the UB School of Social work and intern at a Buffalo Public School. I will be graduating with my Master's degree in May of 2020 and plan on becoming a NYS licensed social worker. My areas of interest are homelessness, substance abuse, at-risk youth, and families.
My MSW field placement is at Buffalo Public School #198 where I work with my own caseload of students from diverse backgrounds as a part of the Student Support Team.
As an intern at this organization, I worked with and advocated rights for the migrant worker population. I also assessed needs and organized a group of students to Lobby in Albany, NY for the GreenLight Campaign.
